Suggestions for me to keep in mind for future moves:
1.Drink more energy drinks during moving time.
2. Get rid of more stuff prior to moving
3. Make it a game for the kids to play to help pack and unpack
4. Pack all bedding in one box and make it first one to be delivered
5. Make silverware easily found
6. Make the TVs and all parts to hook it up accessible, request cable right away
7. Don't unpack the garage into the living room
8. Don't step on thinks that might break while putting in the moving truck.
9. Make sure home has adequate phone coverage inside the home.
10. Research cost of living for area. Places that thrive on tourist for a large portion of their income can be great and have many great benefits however, the cost of living is outrageous but at least in this type of place we will never bored. There is always something to do.
11. Last, living in an area that is travel by many and often I have quickly picked up on the typical tourist behavior and mannerisms. Tourists unintentionally are very annoying to locals. They get lost. They stop with their car only halfway pulled over and ask for directions or look down at a a map or navigation system instead of the road. While walking if they bump into someone and a local says something they keep walking with failure to notice other people's existence. They are on a mission to find their destination and to stray from their hour by hour plan of event, and must stay on task. They attempt swimming in the ocean when its 60 degrees out. They ignore dangerous conditions and are told not to swim and then they have to be drug out of the water by life guards. Perhaps they would even swim if they knew there was a shark in the water! Last, they cause huge traffic delays for miles that make a small drive to the beach take 2-3 hours because everyone thought that it was a great idea beach on the same day too, Swell!
Our mission : To create Inspiration from experience and write about it.We will challenge ourselves to become stronger women. Due our military lifestyle we are presented with many challenges from this we hope to gain positive experience. As other wives join us in the crusade to live courageously, we will take one the challenge to strengthen our marriages, raise children of strong morals, and demonstrates character which sets us apart from the rest.

Are you Really Sick or Just being Dramatic?
With Nathaniel it's really hard to tell. He acts the part so well as he has done this before. This time he missed the bus because he was being dramatic holding his belly but then he was at the same time laughing and smiling while falling to the couch doing a fake dramatic faint saying his heart was Beeping too loud and yes I said that correctly beeping. Unbelievable, really! I thought he was putting on a good show but as any with any child faking sickness he needed to go to school. So, I did what any good parent would do and I put him in my car and drove him to school.
Could he Really be Sick?
As I pulled away blocked by the thick layer of cars behind me at that moment I realized I believed his story. At a glimpse driving by I saw him actually turning different shades of green. I quickly dialed the school nurse and found he was already there. He had puked all over the sidewalk right in front of the school entrance to the school. When I arrived he reminded me that I should have listened.
A Lesson Learned
Apparently, I need to ask more questions and dig deeper to get to the truth. Being a parent is all about learning life lessons along the way. Feel better soon my little Nathaniel.

Chronicles of Harley: Those Dog Gone Dogs!!!
This time Harley has encouraged Peyton, and one may ask what has Harley done now?
An Almost Lethal Dose!
This morning Nathaniel and Josiah's medicine lie on the counter. Harley had never tried getting things from the counters before not until now. I thought the counters safe. Harley's manners took a nose dive onto the floor along with Nathaniel's pill and right into Peyton's mouth. Yes, Peyton ate Nathaniel's medicine this morning before I realized what happened. To make matters worse when I looked it up I learned that this is right on line for being a lethal dose for Peyton's weight. .
What Should I do?
- Research I read said to induce vomiting and go to the vet
- Induce vomiting by using hydrogen vomiting.
- fortunately , Peyton already did this himself, all over my flip flops and carpet. Disgusting to say the least!
Worrying...Will he be OK?
- I was worried about him for a while as he did not even want to eat his dog food and for him this NEVER happens with my pug. But this afternoon he seems to be doing much better. His system seems to have gotten most of it out and the rest seems to be a safe amount for his body to metabolize. In the meantime, I had put his food up on the kitchen table to save it for later. I went to give it to Peyton after our walk only to find the food bowl was empty!?!? Harley Davidson strikes again! What are we going to do with that Harley dog?

Sunscreen and Grilling Equals Burns?
Did you know putting on sunscreen before grilling can give you burns? No, in case you were wondering I am not writing about about flammable substance burns. Be careful when applying sunscreen and read the bottle. It may be a product when applied to skin or clothing.
This leaves me wondering, what about bug repellent? Is that flammable too? Last thing I want is to be sitting near the camp fire and suddenly a spark comes from the fire onto my arm and then all my arm ignites by a flammable product. How will you protect your family? Are you prepared?

When Was the First Father's Day?
Since Father's Day is right around the corner I was interested in learning more about the origin of the holiday. I found a great article on this very topic from the History channel. The link is provided so that if you are interested you can enjoy this too.
DIY: Maximizing Efficiency
No Waste!
Learning how to use our products for maximum efficiency will not only save us money but also help the environment. This simply means using all of a product and making sure nothing is wasted. Do you have a can? Instead of throwing away why not use it for a flower pot or a craft project or perhaps a holder for your paper clips. If you have lemon peal grind it down your drain for a deodorizer. Have a moving box? Make a car for your kids or perhaps a fort. Egg cartons can be used to hold paint.
Why?
God wants us be good stewards with everything. Being a good steward means taking care of what he has given us and using it wisely and appropriately. We as parents have the responsibility teach our children to be good stewards. It is not the job of the church or the school or anyone else to teach children to do teach them this.
DIY: Cleaning with Baking Soda
Today I am cleaned with baking soda. This also can be heated to turn into Soda Wash another useful cleaning product. Baking Soda is used for cooking and is cheap to buy. So does baking soda really clean well? Yes! Here's what I learned from my experiment:
My Experiments
- Previously Products: Great Cleaners Soda Wash and Magic Eraser: These removed everything like crayon and marker but the downside was also some of the paint as well could potentially come off if rubbed to hard.
- Baking Soda is more gentle
- Baking Soda Cleans Well
- Baking Soda didn't seem to be taking paint off the wall
- Baking Soda seems to be great on walls and baseboards
- Baking Soda:It does a great job getting boogers off the wall! I had not found a great product to do this prior to baking soda!
- Keep this in mind parents. I am not sure about crayons or markers since my kids no longer do this but it did take off jean markings rubbed into the wall (has not been tested)
There are probably many other cleaning uses for baking soda I have not tapped into yet. This is only the beginning. This is just another great find to experimenting with DIY projects in an effort to help my family from the home-front.
If you have any ideas for a DIY recipe, craft, or money saving idea I would love to hear it!
Hope you have a joy filled day!

New Lead for Harley
Since walking our dog has still been difficult we got a new lead for him. This time we got a new training lead for Harley. This wraps around nose and the neck. He highly protested it throwing himself onto the ground into a full fit. We have made progress however as this is the first time Josh was able to take the lead instead of Harley.
